The SparthanTHON Dance Marathon will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, from noon to midnight in Tinkham Veale University Center.
SpartanTHON is one of over 300 dance marathon programs across the U.S., part of a movement of “this generation fighting for the next.” Participants raise funds throughout the year, and the total amount raised is donated to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
Donations go to:
- Child life specialists;
- Games and toys for playrooms;
- Art and music therapies; and
- Supplies that insurance does not cover, such as diapers for premature babies, pediatric crash carts, birthday parties and more.
During the event, “miracle families” from the hospital come, and students dance and compete in various activities.
