Spartans Step Up: “Review and Analysis of the Current National Political Landscape”

The Alumni Association of Case Western Reserve University continues Spartans Step Up, a series of webcasts focusing on topical issues. The newest installment, titled “Review and Analysis of the Current National Political Landscape,” will debut Monday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. EST/8 a.m. PST.

The discussion in this webcast will look into the presidential election, voter fraud lawsuits, the insurrection and the inauguration.

Joy Ward, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, will moderate an expert panel featuring:

  • Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law and director of the Coleman P. Burke Center for Environmental Law; and
  • Karen Beckwith, the Flora Stone Mather Professor in the Department of Political Science.

Adler has been cited in the recent U.S. House of Representatives impeachment of former President Donald Trump. A key area of research for Beckwith is how social movements respond to loss.

Viewers are invited to submit questions for the panel by registering for the livestream or submitting them during the webcast. Join the CWRU livestream or watch on The Alumni Association’s Facebook page.
