Spartans Step Up: “Navigating the Future of Travel”

In the next Spartans Step Up discussion, Rob Stalder (CWR ’94), emeritus board member for The Alumni Association, and a panel of CWRU alumni travel experts will discuss navigating the future of travel as pandemic restrictions ease.

Stalder will moderate a panel discussion featuring travel industry experts:

  • Amy Kotkin (FSM ’72), former director of Smithsonian Journeys, the Smithsonian Institution’s educational travel program; and
  • Chip Kennedy (CWR ’16), an advisor and former chief technology officer of Tastemakers Africa.

The discussion will include a conversation on the devastating effect of COVID-19 on the travel industry, the uncertainty of what travel will look like in the future, and the global changes that will occur. Experts also will share advice and information on travel insurance, emergency evacuations, the current updates to travel laws and policies, and more.

Titled “Navigating the Future of Travel,” this event will be held Wednesday, June 9, from 1 to 2 p.m. Register to attend.
