Spartan Cheerleading will host a college prep clinic for high schoolers interested in cheering in college and/or learning to stunt. Held Sunday, April 6, this event is open to all students in grades 9–12. The clinic will be from 2 to 5 p.m. in Adelbert Gym.
This session will cover the basic motions, jumps, cheers and spriting, in addition to stunting. Members of the cheer team will teach the basics of all-girl stunting, including thigh stands, load-ins, preps, extensions, cradles, shoulder sits and shoulder stands. Previous cheer, dance or gymnastics experience is recommended, but not required.
Snacks and goodie bags will be provided to participants. Itinerary details will be shared upon registration.
Registration costs $50 for individuals, and $40 per person in groups of three or more. Every participant must complete the registration form individually, even if they are part of a group.
All funds raised will go toward travel and equipment expenses for Spartan Cheerleading’s future competitions.
