Support of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (SOURCE) will host several opportunities for students to prepare for Intersections. These seminars and sessions are designed to help students improve their presentation skills, make a poster and develop an elevator pitch.
Jennifer DeSantis, assistant director of academic resources and student advancement, will present “Improving Presentation Skills and How to Make a Poster” today (Nov. 19) from 4 to 5 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 400.
Students also can participate in Kelvin Smith Library Poster Review Group Consultations Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 2:15 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. Amanda Koziura, digital scholarship library at the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship, will lead both sessions, which will be held at the Freedman Center in the library.
There also will be two opportunities for students to attend an elevator pitch workshop titled “Presenting Your Research to Strangers,” presented by William Doll and Sarah de Swart, director of faculty development. These sessions will be held Monday, Nov. 25, and Wednesday, Nov. 27. Both presentations will be from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 09.
