Some software services to be unavailable during certain times this weekend

Two University Technology ([U]Tech) services will be unavailable at certain times this weekend due to scheduled maintenance.

Turnitin and iThenticate will be unavailable Saturday, Jan. 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Turnitin is the plagiarism detection tool accessed through Canvas for students checking coursework or instructors checking local submissions against other local submissions. During the period of unavailability, users will be unable to submit or grade.

iThenticate is a plagiarism detection software for scholarly research for faculty, postdoctoral scholars and graduate students. The software is used for pre-submission when completing grant applications and texts for scholarly publication.

During the outage, users will be unable to access the system or its database.
