Sociology’s Tim Black wins North Central Sociological Association Scholarly Achievement Award

Sociology professor Tim Black won North Central Sociological Association’s Scholarly Achievement Award, which celebrates scholarly books that demonstrate an integration of theory, research methods, quality writing and overall sociological impact. 

Black won the award, along with co-author Sky Keyes, for their book, It’s a Setup: Fathering the Social and Economic Margins. The book was chosen as the 2023 North Central Sociological Association’s Scholarly Achievement Award for “Best Book.”
