Aloen L. Townsend, the Ralph S. and Dorothy P. Schmitt Professor in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, has been selected to serve on the University Budget Committee (UBC) as a representative of the Mandel School. Her term began in November 2021 and will continue through June 2024.
The UBC assists the provost and chief financial officer in supervising university expenditures, forecasting models, and other significant financial matters. Townsend’s successors include Craig Zullig, associate dean of finance and administration, and Mark L. Joseph, who was appointed as chair of the UBC in 2020.
