The Social Justice Teach-In is designed to inspire students and community members to be active and engaged citizens, to increase their understanding of social justice issues, and to enhance their leadership skills in areas such as service, advocacy and philanthropy.
This year’s Social Justice Teach-In will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, from 11 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Tinkham Veale University Center.
The event will feature a keynote by Anthony Grimes, an internationally recognized organizer, thought-leader and storyteller, followed by more than 30 workshop session options.
The teach-in is open to students, staff, faculty and community members, and interested participants should register online through the CCEL CampusGroups page by Monday, Feb. 4.
The event is sponsored by the Center for Civic Engagement and Learning (CCEL), Social Justice Institute, InterReligious Task Force on Central America and CCEL Student Executive Council.
