Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to attend a panel discussion on “Liberation through Democracy” Friday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballrooms. This event is part of the Social Justice Institute Think Tank, which is a three-day event centered on the theme “A Balm for What Ails Us: Respect. Renew. Reimagine.”
This panel will feature four dynamic experts:
- Erika Anthony, co-founder and executive director of VOTES;
- Brandon Hasbrouck, associate professor at Washington and Lee School of Law;
- Lawrence Caswell, managing editor for Community for Signal Cleveland: Ohio Local News Initiative; and
- Gregory T. Moore, president and CEO of Promise of Democracy Foundation and former executive director of the NAACP National Voter Fund.
Accompanying this discussion will be spoken word poetry by Raja Freeman of Twelve Literary Arts.
