Case Western Reserve University Alpha Phi will host its annual philanthropy event, “Aphitness,” to support women’s heart health on Saturday, Oct. 5., from 1 to 4 p.m., on the field behind Clarke Tower.
One in three women die from heart disease, and Alpha Phi is dedicated to supporting the research necessary to put an end to this disease.
The event will be an obstacle course in which teams of six compete against each other. The obstacle course will test endurance, strength and, most importantly, heart. The entire Case Western Reserve community is encouraged to participate or observe the competition.
Teams of six for the Greek community cost $30 ($100 for unlimited teams) and teams of three to six for faculty/staff members or unaffiliated students cost $5 per person.
Those interested in participating can sign up their team at the event or at the Alpha Phi table in Nord Hall on Monday, Sept. 30, or Thursday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
