The campus community is invited to join the student organization Words Matter and sign the pledge to demonstrate commitment to recognizing that derogatory language is harmful, supporting the worth and dignity of each individual and promoting justice and compassion through choice of language.
The pledge can be signed on Friday, Sept. 14, during community hour from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on the Kelvin Smith Library Oval. The event is sponsored by Words Matter and Share the Vision. Free cookies will be provided.
