Sigma Psi will hold the 37th annual Mr. CWRU pageant Saturday, Nov. 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
Mr. CWRU is a male pageant that rewards creativity and wit over beauty and attractiveness. This year’s theme is Wild Kingdom.
Contestants will compete in three clothing categories:
- “Your wear,” dressed to represent their organization,
- A costume that fits with the event theme, and
- Formal wear.
The contestants who advance to the semi-finals will present a talent and answer an impromptu question.
Tickets will be sold in Nord Hall Nov. 16-20 for $5. Tickets will cost $6 at the door.
All of the proceeds from the event go to the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, which is a local organization whose mission is to provide support for the survivors of sexual violence. They promote healing and prevention as well as aim to create social change.
