Should the workday include time for naps? Public Affairs Discussion Group takes on the topic

In this week’s Public Affairs Discussion Group, Elizabeth R. Click, assistant professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, will lead a talk on the topic “Should the Workday Include Time for Naps? Research Concerning Sleep and Productivity.” Insufficient sleep is linked to high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, obesity, anger and more, and it’s also related to workplace performance and safety issues. Some employers are starting to encourage naps, and a growing body of research shows that napping is a good idea.

The discussion will take place Oct. 28 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Dampeer Room at Kelvin Smith Library.
