The Sexual Assault and Violence Educators (SAVE) will host a peer support group for survivors of sexual or domestic violence Thursday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women (Tinkham Veale University, Suite 248).
The purpose of the group is to create a safe, confidential space where survivors can talk about their experiences, gain support and empower themselves to reach out to each other.
SAVE asks that mandated reporters (student employees like resident assistants and orientation leaders) do not attend to keep the group as confidential as possible.
Students will run the group, but student advocate Danielle Bernat Sabo will be available for individuals who want to talk to a professional.
Light refreshments will be provided.
