Senior dual-degree student receives scholarship from Japanese government to enroll abroad

Senior engineering and Japanese studies major Conrad Moore has been selected by representatives of the Japanese government to receive a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Scholarship. The scholarship will allow him to enroll in a master’s of engineering management International Graduate Program.

The MEXT scholarships are offered to international students who wish to study or do research at Japanese universities. According to the program website, students must be graduates of a Japanese university or have the academic ability equal or superior to that of a Japanese university graduate.

Moore studied abroad at Tohoku University in 2012 and will graduate from Case Western Reserve this month with dual degrees.
