Derek Reinbold, a senior political science major, wrote an article published online in The Key Reporter, the newsletter of Phi Beta Kappa.
In the article, Reinbold discusses the constraints that Congress recently placed on National Science Foundation funding for political science research. He argues that “limiting fields of study for researchers may yield short-term savings, but will invariably hamper education and economic development in the long-term.”
Reinbold, a Phi Beta Kappa member, is also majoring in international studies and art history, and is a member of the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team.
