Case Western Reserve University will host the SENCER (Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities) Summer Institute (SSI) Aug. 1-4.
Since 2001, SSI has provided evidence-based professional development to improve STEM learning while advancing civic awareness and responsibility. SENCER courses and programs teach rigorous disciplinary and interdisciplinary content through issues of immediate concern to students, such as climate change, public health, environmental sustainability and data security.
Members of the Case Western Reserve University are invited to four days of plenaries, workshops, presentations and consultations by experienced practitioners addressing:
- Integrative STEM learning;
- Assessment;
- Civic engagement, social justice and curricular change;
- Inclusive teaching;
- High-impact pedagogies;
- Community partnerships; and
- More.
CWRU affiliates receive a special registration rate of $500.
