Self-defense class

Would you be able to defend yourself if someone were to physically attack you? It’s a question most don’t want to consider. Anyone can learn effective basic self-defense techniques to gain confidence and empower themselves.

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to learn these skills during a self-defense class Wednesday, March 27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the south winter garden at Samson Pavilion.

Participants will learn basic strikes, kicks and blocks, how to respond if an attacker grabs, chokes or holds them, and other situational awareness tips.

The class is a collaboration between the Case Western Reserve University Police Department and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Police. The instructors will be officers from each department.
