Seeking research participants to understand factors affecting sleep and cardiovascular health

A research team led by Dr. Elliane Irani at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing is currently recruiting African American family caregivers to understand the factors that affect their caregiving experience, sleep, and cardiovascular health.

Eligible volunteers must:
– Be 18 years of age or older;
– Self-identify as Black or African American, and
– Have been caring for an adult family member or friend for more than 6 months.

If you meet these criteria, please consider reaching out to the research team to learn more about the study. You can contact us via phone at 216-368-0437 or via email at familycaregiverstudy@case.edu.

If you qualify for this study and agree to participate, we will meet with you at our research office or another convenient private location to complete a survey that will take approximately 30 minutes. We will also check your height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, and your cholesterol level. You may also be asked to participate in an optional follow-up interview that would take approximately 45 minutes and can be completed in person, via Zoom, or over the phone.

Participants will receive a gift card as compensation.

If you are not eligible to participate but know someone who might be, please feel free to share this information.
