A number of Case Western Reserve University athletic events are scheduled for homecoming weekend. Members of the community can catch several teams in action and celebrate the accomplishments of teams past and present.

Friday, October 12

Dedication of the Reminger Athletic Director’s Suite

4 p.m.
Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center

Help commemorate the dedication of the Richard T. Reminger Athletic Director’s Suite and see the unveiling of Reminger’s original painting for Case Western Reserve athletics.

Men’s soccer vs. Washington University (Missouri)

5 p.m.
DiSanto Field

The men’s soccer team will kick off homecoming weekend with a University Athletic Association matchup against Washington University.

Women’s soccer vs. Washington University (Missouri)

7:30 p.m.

The women’s soccer team will host the top-ranked team in Division III: Washington University.

Saturday, October 13

PAC Baseball Championship Western Reserve Reunion

10 a.m.
Nobby’s Ballpark

CWRU will welcome back members of the 1968 Western Reserve baseball team for the 50th anniversary celebration of the team’s Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championship. Team members will participate in a scrimmage with the current CWRU baseball team, among other activities.

Football vs. Saint Vincent College

Coming off its first loss of the season, the CWRU football team will host Saint Vincent College for a Presidents’ Athletic Conference matchup.

The Spartan Club Hall of Fame will welcome seven new members into its ranks:

  • Esther Erb Atkins (CWR ’08) – Cross Country and Track and Field
  • Aaron Johnston-Peck (CWR ’07) – Cross Country and Track and Field
  • Santo Maimone IV (CWR ’06) – Football
  • Lauren Erickson (Preyss) (CWR ’07) – Swimming
  • Pat Rodjom (CWR ’07) – Swimming
  • John Davin (CIT ’60) – Basketball and Golf, Heritage Inductee
  • Frank Rudy (CIT ’50) – Special Category Inductee

In addition, the 2007-09 CWRU football teams will be receive the University Award for Athletic Excellence at the event.
