Security improvements coming to account self-service tools and the affiliate account request form

In order to improve the security of the [U]Tech account and password self-service tools, and to prevent them from being abused by automated, Internet-based attacks, [U]Tech is adding reCAPTCHA to the following self-service web pages to prevent bots from using the form:

CWRU Off-Campus Email Address page

CWRU Passphrase Verification page

CWRU technology account: passphrase change tool

CWRU technology account: passphrase reset tool

Also, the Affiliate Account Request Form now requires login via VPN if connecting from the Internet outside of the CWRU network, and DUO multi-factor authentication is being added to verify the identity of a requestor before permitting their request.
