The Searle Scholars Program is an annual career development award to support the independent research of exceptional young faculty in the biomedical sciences and chemistry at select universities. This limited-submission funding opportunity is for assistant professors in a tenure-track appointment pursuing independent research careers in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, pharmacology and relevant areas in chemistry, medicine and the biological sciences. The program, established in 1980, has named 482 scholars and awarded more than $93 million in its history. Each year, 15 new people are named Searle Scholars and are awarded $100,000/year for three years. The deadline for internal submissions is July 25. For more information about how to apply, click here.
