Searle Scholar Program offering $300,000 funding opportunity for young faculty

Case Western Reserve University faculty members are invited to submit applications for the 2013 Searle Scholar Program competition, which provides grants to selected universities and research centers to support the independent research of exceptional young faculty in the biomedical sciences and chemistry. The competition will award $100,000 per year for three years ($300,000 total).

This limited funding opportunity is for assistant professors in a tenure-track appointment pursuing independent research careers in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, pharmacology and relevant areas in chemistry, medicine and the biological sciences.

The internal deadline to apply is July 23; two applicants will be selected from Case Western Reserve and will be notified of their selection by Aug. 1. Complete proposals are due by Sept. 24 for institutional review before being sent to the funding agency.
