University of Washington’s accuracy in forecasting the coronavirus in Ohio likely due to underlying variables, experts say

Cleveland.com: Scott Williams, a professor in population and quantitative health sciences in the School of Medicine, commented on an accurate coronavirus infection model—offering optimism in the face of dire predictions—for Ohio, developed by the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation: “Everybody models a little bit differently,” said Williams. “They were just better at guessing, I would surmise, of what variables go into the model and what the value of those variables are.”
