Science Café Cleveland to look at the human body—aka “the perfect host for parasites”

Join the next Science Café Cleveland event, titled “The perfect host for parasites – the human body,” on May 14. Emmitt Jolly, assistant professor of biology, will discuss parasites lifestyles—from the perspective of the parasite and of the parasite’s host—initially focusing on the small human schistosome worms that can live for more than 20 years.

Science Café Cleveland will be held at Market Garden Brewery in Ohio City, with drinks beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the discussion starting around 7 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Case Western Reserve University chapter of Sigma Xi, WCPN ideastream and the Market Garden Brewery.
