Science Café Cleveland: “Sleep: The Pattern of Life”

Come out to the 2016 Science Café Cleveland Annual Distinguished Lectureship for a talk on the negative effects of regular sleep loss, poor sleep habits and ideas for how to improve sleep.

June J. Pilcher, Alumni Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychology at Clemson University, will give a talk titled “Sleep: The Pattern of Life.”

Although humans spend one-third of their lives sleeping, few people understand what is happening when they sleep and the benefits of good sleep habits.

Good sleeping habits are equally important for long-term good health as good exercise and eating habits; however, many people continue to view sleep as something they can give up (at least temporarily).

The event will be held Monday, Dec. 12, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Music Box Supper Club (1148 Main Ave.)

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Limited menu options will be available for purchase.

Science Café Cleveland is sponsored by the CWRU chapter of Sigma Xi, WCPN ideastream and the Music Box Supper Club. For more information, visit case.edu/affil/sigmaxi/ScienceCafeCleveland.html.
