Science Café Cleveland event to discuss maintaining, restoring healthy rivers

Science Café Cleveland presents “Fire, fish and flow: from burning rivers to living rivers” Dec. 12. Jeff Opperman, senior adviser for sustainable hydropower at The Nature Conservancy, will summarize recent advances in the science of rivers and describe how the conservancy and partners are working to find sustainable solutions for providing water and energy while maintaining and restoring healthy rivers.

The discussion, held at Market Garden Brewery, will begin at 7 p.m., with drinks starting at 6:30 p.m.
