Davis, School of Medicine dean and senior vice president for medical affairs, reflected on what initially led her to work in the medical field. “Your health is one of the most fundamental human rights—a fundamental human value,” she said. “Everyone should have access to good health, and this is an opportunity to change the world in a positive way. There are few professions that allow you that opportunity.”
