The Plain Dealer: Jim Spilsbury, program director of academic development core at the Center for Clinical Investigation in the School of Medicine, discussed a Case Western Reserve University study on children who have been exposed to “adverse childhood experiences” and the impact it has on them. “It highlights the potentially profound effects that these childhood experiences can have on a whole range of health outcomes throughout the life course,” he said.
