“Humanity in Crisis: Fixing the Issue of Inaccessible Solutions”

The School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence will host a conversation with Thomas Fisher, physician and author of The Emergency: A Year of Healing and Heartbreak in a Chicago ER for its MLK Jr. birthday and Black history keynote event.

Fisher will present “Humanity in Crisis: Fixing the Issue of Inaccessible Solutions” Friday, Jan. 31, from noon to 3 p.m. in Samson Pavilion, Room 176 (tiered lecture hall).

David Margolius, director of the Cleveland Department of Public Health, will moderate the discussion. Together, these healthcare leaders will have an engaging discussion about how to move from talk to action to advance health equity in Northeast Ohio.

A hors d’oeuvre reception and live music will follow the conversation.
