Scholarships available for Weatherhead’s Executive Leadership Development Experience

Weatherhead School of Management’s Executive Leadership Development Experience (ELDE) is accepting applications for a five-month course designed with Black professionals in mind. ELDE is a cohort-based program offering practical opportunities for participants to expand their leadership skills while providing multiple ways to connect and grow their network in the Cleveland region.

Interim Provost and Executive Vice President Joy Ward has partnered with Weatherhead Executive Education to offer partial scholarships to eligible Case Western Reserve University staff and faculty members. Candidates should have at least 10 years of work experience and five years of management/supervisory experience.

“The Executive Leadership Development Experience acknowledges the contributions and challenges, provides the space for self-reflection and introspection, and offers useful frameworks for continued growth in a way that no other program has done. Its world class instruction, coaches and mentors, paired with a cohort of experienced professionals has reignited my passion for the work I do and those who I serve. Time well spent!” said Deborah Bibb, executive director of program and student success at Weatherhead School of Management

“From the ELDE networking receptions, visiting lecturers, executive coaches and mentors, everything aligned to provide a comprehensive executive tool kit that I can continue to hone. I learned mindfulness, conflict resolution, and adaptive leadership techniques couched in historical paradigms. By paying it forward with family, friends and colleagues, it’s like that pebble thrown into a pond. The ripple effect will continue to emanate for years to come,” said Churyl Croone, senior director of business development and industry engagement in the Office of Professional Programs.

To be eligible for consideration for the Provost’s Scholarship, applications must be received no later than Dec. 1.
