Christopher Fink, professor in the Department of Health and Human Kinetics at Ohio Wesleyan University, will give a talk in conjunction with the Slow Food CWRU film event, The Slow Food Story, on Friday, Jan. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Village House 7.
The documentary explores the beginnings of the Slow Food movement, which began, in part, as a protest against McDonald’s. Fink will discuss his work with Slow Food in preserving food traditions. He also will discuss his summer course in Italy, which will explore the myths and realities of the Mediterranean diet. The course is open to Case Western Reserve students this June.
