Sandra W. Jacobson, professor of psychiatry and behavioral neurosciences at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine, will give two lectures on campus this week.
For pediatric grand rounds, Jacobson will give a presentation Thursday, April 25, from 8 to 9 a.m. in the University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital amphitheater. The lecture is titled “The Potential of Maternal Choline Supplementation during Pregnancy to Mitigate Effects of Prenatal Alcohol Exposure.” Refreshments will be provided.
As part of the ACES+ Distinguished Lecture Series, Jacobson will give a second lecture titled “A Career in International Biomedical and Developmental Research: Collaborative Opportunities and Scientific and Public Health Challenges.” The lecture will be held Friday, April 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women (Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248). A light lunch will be served and a discussion will follow the presentation.
