Daniel Melnick, a part-time SAGES lecturer, will publish his novel, The Ash Tree, on May 15, in conjunction with the centennial commemoration of the Armenian genocide, which began on April 24 a century ago in Ottoman Turkey.
The novel recounts how a family of Armenian-Americans strives to build a new life in the aftermath of the genocide.
Melnick will read from and discuss the novel Monday, June 15, at 7 p.m. at the Beachwood branch of Cuyahoga Country Library.
