Case Western Reserve pitcher Rob Winemiller spurns Toronto Blue Jays, returns for senior year
The Plain Dealer: Rob Winemiller, pitcher for the baseball team, opted to pass on the Toronto Blue Jays’ offer and return to Case Western Reserve to get his degree and play his senior season for the Spartans. “The main point was that I didn’t come to Case to leave what I started three years in,” he said. “I went to Case to get a good degree and didn’t anticipate playing professional baseball. Now that it happened, my mind was wavering a little bit, but my heart was still telling me to come back. I didn’t want to leave another year on the table.”
