Review guidelines for hosting on-campus programs involving minors

The Office of General Counsel and the university compliance officer remind faculty and staff that special consideration must be given for minors involved in campus programs. A “minor” is defined as a person under the age of 18.

Formal programs involving minors, including academic and athletic camps, must meet certain regulatory and or university requirements. Faculty and/or staff involved in less formal programs, such as mentoring or private tutoring, should follow university established best practice guidelines, available at case.edu/compliance/.
