A team of researchers at Case Western Reserve University recently wrote a piece, published in the journal Pediatrics, about the racial disparities in breastfeeding. Their piece was titled “Caring for American Indian and Alaska Native Children and Adolescents.”
The research team consisted of Suet Kam Lam, assistant professor of pediatrics, and recent School of Medicine graduates Bethel Mieso and Hunter Burrow.
Lam recently discussed the piece on the Pediatrics On Call Podcast.
Lam’s virtual breastfeeding elective also is co-sponsored by Lydia Furman, professor of pediatrics.
