Work by Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine researchers was published earlier this month in Nature Communications. Derek P Wong, a student in the Medical Scientist Training Program, is first author of the article and Reshmi Parameswaran, assistant professor of pathology, is the corresponding author on the article, titled “A BAFF ligand-based CAR-T cell targeting three receptors and multiple B cell cancers.”
The article details the researchers’ development of a ligand-based BAFF CAR-T for the treatment of multiple B cell cancers. Their work showed the efficacy of this therapy using xenograft mouse cancer models.
