CWRU researchers receive $2.48 million grant to develop avatar-based technology for end-of-life decisions
Crain’s Cleveland Business: Ronald Hickman, associate professor of nursing, and Marc Buchner, associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science, received a grant from the National Institutes of Health to create an avatar-based technology to help families prepare for end-of-life decisions for their loved ones. “It can be an intimidating situation, so people often default to clinicians and later regret doing so,” Hickman said.
