The Cuyahoga County Drug Court is saving lives and families: Phillip Morris
The Plain Dealer: Margaret Baughman-Sladky, a senior research associate, talks about Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge David T. Matia’s successful Cuyahoga County Drug Court Program. In the ongoing study, Case Western Reserve University researchers determined that recidivism in drug court graduates is lower than those who don’t go through the program for any crime. You would expect anywhere from three to four out of 10 people to be rearrested within a year. In Judge Matia’s court we’re not seeing even one out of 10 rearrested,” she said.
