The Health Education Campus (HEC) Experience Study team is seeking students to collaborate on a research study that includes collecting and analyzing semi-structured interviews, and/or collecting and analyzing survey data with Weatherhead School of Management faculty, John Paul Stephens. Prior experience with qualitative data analysis is preferred but not required.
Graduate and advanced undergraduate students are welcome to apply. Student research assistants will be mentored by Prof. Stephens as they help to recruit faculty, staff and student interviewees and survey participants, prepare surveys, conduct interviews, and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to critically evaluate and analyze how students, faculty and staff use and experience the Health Education Campus buildings, particularly in terms of developing relationships.
Work is expected to begin in mid-September and will be completed over the academic year. Students must be able to devote an average of 10 hours per week to this position. While some work can be done remotely via Zoom, we hope to use in-person meetings to coordinate, collect and analyze data when possible. Compensation will range from $14-$18/hour, depending on the level and prior experience of the student. Students may also receive authorship credit on manuscript(s) that result from this work, depending on the quality and quantity of their contributions to the project.
Interested students should complete an interest form by September 2. Prof. Stephens will interview and select final candidates in mid-September. This research is being funded by an ACES+ Opportunity Grant from Case Western Reserve University. Please provide application information in the Google Form provided.
