RePlay for Kids will host a toy repair and modification workshop on Tuesday, April 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room A09.
Some toys need to be adapted so Northeast Ohio children with disabilities can use them, while others have already been adapted but need some minor repairs. There are communication devices that also need minor repairs. And there are several switches that are used to operate these toys or communication devices, which are in need of minor repairs.
The toys are adapted by adding a second switch in parallel to the existing one. Most of the repairs involve testing and fixing broken wires or other simple repairs. Participants don’t need to be at the entire duration of the workshop.
