“Remote Recess”

What teaching and learning ideas have been working for you and your students in remote or dual-delivery classes? Join the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) for “Remote Recess,” a new community-centered conversation series each Friday from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. Faculty, staff and graduate student teachers are welcome to share a teaching and learning success story with colleagues, as we work together with a focus on student success.

This week’s discussion, held March 12, will feature a presentation by Chris Bohan, instructor in the Department of Theater, titled “Routine & Ritual: Establishing Familiarity & Maintaining Engagement.”

If you have a successful teaching and learning idea to share, contact UCITE and let the center know. UCITE welcomes volunteers to participate in this new exchange of ideas. Potential topics might include student engagement ideas, asynchronous learning activities, providing student materials for remote laboratory activities, successful assessment modifications, ideas helpful with international students, and anything else that has worked for instructors since the switch to remote learning formats last spring.

Register for Remote Recess conversations. Zoom information will be provided at the time of registration. Contact UCITE with any questions at ucite@case.edu.
