Case Western Reserve University works to provide a safe and healthy environment to our community members. With the holiday season approaching, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the university’s expectations regarding alcohol use at CWRU events.
If you are planning to host an on- or off-campus CWRU event where alcohol will be served, you should file an alcohol-use report on CampusGroups at least seven days prior to the event. This allows time for the reviews, modifications, information sharing and final approvals. For more information, visit the university’s page on alcohol policies. Providing alcoholic beverages, either by sale or by giving it away, to those under 21 years of age is strictly prohibited. Also, please review the procedures for purchasing alcohol and other considerations; not following the proper procedures could result in the order or reimbursement being denied.
For questions about the Alcohol Use Policy and/or how to file an alcohol use report, contact the Division of Student Affairs at 216.368.2020.
