Departments, student organizations, offices and centers applying for funding for the MLK Celebration, “Lift Every Voice,” should note that the deadline for submitting funding requests is Friday, Nov. 16.
Past co-sponsorships have helped support speakers, films, displays, workshops, receptions, lunches and field trips. Co-sponsorships of events can range from $100 to $2,000.
This year’s MLK Celebration will begin Friday, Jan. 18. The annual MLK Convocation will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, and will feature civil rights activist and legal scholar Lani Guinier.
