Reminder: CWRU is a tobacco-free campus

To promote the health, well-being and safety of university students, faculty, staff and visitors, CWRU is a tobacco-free campus.

Since the summer of 2017, all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, are banned from use on campus property. Because the university has substantial commitments to health-related research and teaching, it has a parallel commitment to protect the health of students, employees and guests and to be in compliance with the State of Ohio smoking ban.

Signage has been placed in numerous locations on campus detailing the policy and the Tobacco Free website has additional details and information about services for those who are ready to quit.

All faculty, staff, students and visitors are asked to help us make a healthier environment for all, to respect the policy and refrain from smoking on campus. Managers and contractors are reminded to share the tobacco free campus message with their teams on an ongoing basis.
