Gen Z and Millennials facing burnout at earlier age
Spectrum News: Deepak Sarma, professor and the Inaugural Distinguished Scholar in the Public Humanities at the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed a new report that Gen Z and millennials are hitting burnout earlier, with peak stress now reported around age 25. Sarma said student debt and early pressure to succeed are likely major factors. “The stress level is astronomical,” they said. “The orientation toward making it in Ivy Leagues begins when kids are 6, 7 years old.”
