Case Concert Choir auditions, Case University Singers rehearsals taking place this week

The Case Concert Choir is holding auditions—open to any undergraduate or graduate student at Case Western Reserve University or Cleveland Institute of Music—on Wednesday, Jan. 22, starting at 8:45 p.m. at the Harkness Chapel Classroom.

Interested singers may sign up for an audition time online, using a Case ID.

Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Case University Singers also is looking for interested singers and will hold rehearsal on Jan. 23 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Harkness Chapel.

Case University Singers is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who enjoy singing and want to develop their musicianship skills. The ability to read music is not required for participation, and there is no formal audition.

Members should be able to match pitch and can expect to vocalize for Lisa Hanson, director of University Singers, to make sure they are singing a voice part that is appropriate for them.

Ongoing rehearsals for Case University Singers will take place Tuesday and Thursdays, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Harkness Chapel.
