Register for free tobacco cessation program by March 27

A free tobacco cessation program will be offered for faculty, staff and students from April 1 through May 20.

During the program, participants will:

  • Assess their readiness to end tobacco use
  • Identify personal motivations and obstacles
  • Develop awareness of techniques to avoid possible triggers
  • Engage in a step-by-step program for ending tobacco use through self-discovery and group support, including behavior change, importance of good nutrition, exercise and stress management.

Participants should plan on attending all eight, one-hour sessions on the following Wednesdays:

  • April 1 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Crawford Hall, Room 720
  • April 8 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Crawford Hall, Room 720
  • April 15 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Adelbert Hall, M2
  • April 22 from noon to 1 p.m., Crawford Hall, Room 209
  • April 29 from noon to 1 p.m., Crawford Hall, Room 209
  • May 6 from noon to 1 p.m., Crawford Hall, Room 209
  • May 13 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Adelbert Hall, M3
  • May 20 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Crawford Hall, Room 720

The program requires no out-of-pocket cost, but registration is required.
